Spots, acne marks and scarring
Acne can include blackheads, whiteheads and inflamed spots. Deeper spots and scarring warrant medical assessment. Describe whether you are concerned about active spots, marks left behind, or both, because these are different questions for the consultation.
What to discuss at your appointment
Bring the names of products and medicines you have tried, how long you used them and any irritation. Tell the doctor how often spots return and whether they affect your face, chest or back. Mention pregnancy or plans for pregnancy before discussing treatment.
Online review or clinic examination?
Clear photographs can support an initial conversation, but do not show every feature of the skin. A clinic examination may be advised when the diagnosis is unclear or the concern needs closer assessment. This is a general-practice service; specialist dermatology care is arranged through referral advice when needed.
Before your consultation
- When the spots first appeared and how they have changed
- Product names, previous prescriptions and treatment duration
- Clear close-up and wider photos if choosing online review
- Your main priority: recurring spots, discomfort, marks or scarring
Read our photo and medical-history preparation guide. Online consultations cost PKR 1,500; clinic fees are confirmed before the visit. Appointments last 30 minutes.
Common questions
Can I book for acne marks as well as pimples?
Yes. Explain whether you have new spots, lingering marks or changes in skin texture so the doctor can assess the concern and discuss whether specialist review is appropriate.
Is a prescription guaranteed after an acne consultation?
No. Advice depends on assessment, suitability and the information available. The doctor may recommend an examination, follow-up or referral instead.
