Different patterns need different assessment

Hair loss has several possible causes, including inherited patterns, illness, stress and some nutritional problems. A photograph alone cannot establish the cause. Sudden or patchy loss, or a painful or itchy scalp, is a reason to seek medical assessment.

Your history helps explain the timeline

Note when shedding began, changes in medicines, recent illness and any scalp symptoms. Bring relevant reports you already have. The doctor can decide whether examination, tests or specialist assessment are appropriate; a test panel is not automatically required for every booking.

Preparing scalp photos for online review

If you choose online consultation, show the hairline, parting and the area that concerns you in even light. Avoid filters. Photos taken at different times may help describe a change, but upload only images relevant to your consultation.

Before your consultation

  • When shedding or thinning started
  • Whether the change is diffuse, patchy or concentrated at the hairline
  • Scalp itching, scaling, discomfort or other associated concerns
  • Current medicines and any previous investigations

Read our photo and medical-history preparation guide. Online consultations cost PKR 1,500; clinic fees are confirmed before the visit. Appointments last 30 minutes.

Common questions

Can I discuss hair fall and dandruff together?

Yes. Mention both when booking. Scalp symptoms and hair loss may need separate assessment even when they occur together.

Will I need blood tests for hair fall?

That depends on your history and examination. Bring existing reports; the doctor will discuss whether further investigation is appropriate.
