Dandruff and Itchy Scalp Consultation in Lahore

Recurring flakes and an itchy scalp can be frustrating, especially when products have not helped. A GP-led appointment gives you time to describe the symptoms, what you have tried and whether the scalp needs direct examination.

Service information by Skin Consult Lahore. Consultations with Dr Sukaina Raza, MBBS. PMDC 948943-01-M.

Dandruff and other causes of scalp flaking

Dandruff commonly causes flakes and sometimes itching. Other scalp conditions can also cause scaling. Redness, swelling, marked itching or symptoms that persist despite dandruff shampoo should be assessed by a clinician.

Describe what you have already tried

Bring shampoo or product names, frequency of use and how long you have used them. Mention reactions to hair dye or new products, and whether flaking affects other areas. This gives the doctor a clearer picture than simply saying a shampoo did not work.

When a clinic appointment may be useful

Tell the doctor about hair loss, soreness or visible changes alongside the flakes. The service can advise whether online photos provide enough information or a closer examination is needed. Treatment recommendations depend on the assessment.

Before your consultation

  • How long the flaking and itching have been present
  • Names of shampoos and other scalp products
  • Whether there is redness, discomfort or hair loss
  • Focused scalp photos if choosing online review

Read our photo and medical-history preparation guide. Online consultations cost PKR 1,500; clinic fees are confirmed before the visit. Appointments last 30 minutes.

Common questions

Does dandruff mean my scalp is dirty?

No. Dandruff is not caused by poor hygiene, although infrequent washing can make flakes more noticeable.

Can recurring flakes be reviewed online?

You can submit scalp photos and a history for an initial review. The doctor may advise examination if the symptoms or images do not provide enough information.
